Universal Pre-Kindergarten Registration for the 2025-2026 School Year

Parents/guardians of children interested in enrolling in Universal Pre-Kindergarten for 2025, can register at the William T. Hoag Educational Center, 42 Sunset Blvd., Angola, NY 14006.  All Universal Pre-Kindergarten classes are full day; 8:30 am – 2:30 pm at the William T. Hoag Educational Center.  The child must meet the following requirements:

• To be enrolled in the September 2025 Universal Pre-Kindergarten class, a child living in the Lake Shore Central School district must be four years of age on or before December 1, 2025 pursuant to §7120 of the Lake Shore CSD Policy Manual and NYS Education Department regulations.
• Proof of age is required at the time of registration.  A birth certificate, baptismal record, or a passport will serve as adequate proof of age.  Also, an official record of immunizations and proof of district residency is required for registration.
• All immunizations must be acquired by the start of school in September.  Students without required immunizations will not be permitted to start school.

Universal Pre-Kindergarten Open House and Orientation

• Lake Shore UPK will host an Open House on Tuesday, May 6, 2025; 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm. 
• Parents and entering students will be invited to visit classrooms and meet the staff before the start of the school year.

In the event that by the last Friday in May, that there are more registrations for UPK than there are slots; a random lottery will take place.  Student names will be placed in a container and pulled at random until all slots are filled.  Twins/students in the same household will be allowed to enroll together.  The first name in the household drawn will also allow for the other; their cards will be marked as having a twin.  The lottery will take place in a public format which will be announced if a lottery is anticipated to be needed.
