The Hoag Educational Center celebrated World Kindness Day with a visit from local author Lisa Bogner, who met with our UPK students to share a simple and powerful message: kindness creates happiness, even in the smallest moments.

Bogner read from her book, talked with students about what it means to be kind, and encouraged them to think about how they can help friends, use gentle words, and make thoughtful choices. Even at a young age, students were eager to share how they show kindness at home and in the classroom.

Each child received a copy of Bogner’s book to take home, giving families a way to continue the conversation.
